Storm Damage Roof Repair

Southgate

Urgent repair following wind damage with replacement tiles.

Tiled roof repair carried out from scaffold access after storm-related damage.

Work carried out

This project followed storm damage that had left the roof exposed and in need of prompt attention. The priority on arrival was to inspect the extent of the damage, identify any immediate risks to the roof covering, and make sure the property was protected from further water ingress. Storm-related faults can often extend beyond the tiles that are visibly missing or broken, so the inspection also covered the surrounding fixings, adjacent roof sections, and the general condition of the roofline. Once the affected area had been assessed, the damaged materials were removed and the roof prepared for repair with matching replacements and secure reinstatement.

The repair work included replacing displaced and broken tiles, checking the supporting sections beneath, and making sure the surrounding roof was tied back into a sound, weatherproof condition. Particular care was taken to avoid leaving small weak points at the edges of the repair, because those are the spots that often fail during the next period of bad weather. When the new tiles were in place, the area was checked for alignment, fit, and runoff performance so the repair blended with the existing roof and functioned properly. The completed work returned the roof to a secure condition, reduced the risk of repeat leaks, and gave the homeowner confidence that the storm damage had been repaired thoroughly rather than simply patched over.
